Rainham Steel operates from its head office based in Rainham, Essex and a satellite sales office based in Bury near Manchester together with its two distribution depots located in Rainham and Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire.

The main distribution facility for the company, which houses all of the structural sections and structural hollow sections, is based in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire. The site was opened in September 2002, and is widely recognised as one of the most modern, safe and efficient steel distribution depots in Europe. The flagship 55 acre site was primarily chosen for its locality to the nearby British Steel mills, as well as offering ease of access to the dock facilities for imports and exports.

Rainham Steel is committed to developing its business by investment in new property, plant and equipment. Over recent years major investment projects have been undertaken to expand existing facilities at a cost to date in excess of £18 million. This includes the commissioning of a new state of the art steel processing facility at Scunthorpe.

The company employs over 180 members of staff and runs and manages its own fleet of 50 Heavy Goods Vehicles.

During the last ten years Rainham Steel has also expanded its operations into property investments. Two dedicated property companies have been established which own collectively an extensive portfolio of industrial and commercial investments.
